Project Overview

Forming a cornerstone of the Dublin Port 2040 Master Plan, the development of Berths 52 and 53 demanded elite marine engineering oversight. SHEANEY was appointed to manage the complex installation and testing of heavy tubular piles for the new jetty and dolphin structures.

Our Delivery

Led directly on-site by our Managing Director, we managed the entire marine spread sizing and vessel planning, notably utilising the 400-tonne Admiral 1 jack-up barge. We coordinated specialist subcontractors, handled stability analysis and lift planning, and provided vital input into the temporary works and piling gate design.

Key Achievements

  • Seamlessly managed movements and logistics with the Dublin Port Authority in one of the busiest commercial ports in the region.
  • Directed tier-one contractors including Ocean Crest Marine, Gabriel O'Brien Crane Hire, and Lloyds Datum Group.
  • Maintained rigorous, transparent programme management through Smartsheet and Primavera P6 under an NEC4 framework.
