Project Overview

Developing the new access road at Loughshinny required extensive groundwork, rock breaking, and the complex integration of deep drainage and vital public utilities. SHEANEY was brought in to execute the physical civil engineering works and coordinate the site programme.

Our Delivery

Working closely with the main contractor, we directly delivered the road formation, kerbing, and surfacing. Our scope included the excavation of 2,250 m3 of bulk material, the installation of over 700 metres of foul and surface water pipework, and the intricate ducting for ESB 38kV, watermains, public lighting, and fibre communications.

Key Achievements

  • Successfully managed over 570 m3 of heavy rock breaking alongside deep drainage hydrobrake installations.
  • Seamlessly coordinated final connections and sign-offs in accordance with Irish Water, Fingal County Council, and ESB Networks specifications.
  • Effectively navigated unforeseeable ground conditions and service discrepancies, successfully managing the EOT and variation processes.
